USS Salem Overnight Adventure Check-in Procedure

Saturday Arrival: 12:30P.M. - 1:00P.M.

When you enter the parking lot please park in one of the designated parking spots adjacent to the ship.  The MBTA owns the lot and charges $6 for overnight parking. You will be able to pre-pay the parking fee upon arrival and a parking pass will be issued by a USS Salem staff member for each vehicle.

Once your parking is all set please assemble with your group and leaders on the pier. A staff member will be present to assist you in the check-in process. You may board the USS Salem only after your group has arrived in its entirety. We discourage attendees from arriving late.

During your group’s organization on the pier you will be assigned group designations and may be split up into smaller divisions for the day’s activity rotation. Each participant will be given a name tag displaying their division assignment. Each group leader will receive a schedule and a map with directions to each of the activities. Large groups may be broken up into several divisions. Each division will need to have an adult leader assigned. Once organized you eill be brought on board. Please be sure to bring aboard everything you need for the evening at this time as access to the parking lot will be limited later in the day.

Once on-board each group will unload their gear in their assigned berthing area. After each group has been brought on-board we will review the fire drill procedures and then run the drill. After the fire drill we will conduct an orientation and then proceed with the day’s activities. Our first activity is the ship’s tour and it is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM.
